KILLEEN, Texas (AP) -- Police in Central Texas say a 15-year-old boy has died after being shot during an argument in a vehicle and the driver was taken into custody pending formal charges.
Killeen police say the victim was shot once and died Friday night at a hospital.
Police say the teen was able to get out of the vehicle after being shot Friday afternoon. A 911 call about gunfire led police to the victim, who had collapsed on the sidewalk. Killeen police later located the male driver.
Investigators did not immediately release the name of the slain boy or a possible motive for the shooting.
Killeen police say anyone with information on the shooting should contact detectives.
