Hit-and-run by siblings leaves man in critical condition

Siblings are behind bars after allegedly running over a man in Brownsville.
Brownsville Police told Action 4 News that Kacie and Victor Garcia struck the victim on the 1100 block of southbound Expressway 77 early this morning.
The victim, Gilberto Perez, was walking along the expressway when the white Chrysler Sebring hit the 21-year-old.
The Garcia siblings continued driving and a Brownsville officer stopped the vehicle near 30th and East Avenue.
According to the officer, the Chrysler had severe damage to the front end and windshield.
There was a strong odor of alcohol emitted from the vehicle, according to the officer.
Kacie told the Brownsville officer her 27-year-old brother hit Perez and she drove so he wouldn TMt go to jail, according to Brownsville PD.
She was charged with a DWI and tampering with evidence.
Her brother was charged with intoxication assault with a vehicle.
A bond of $17,000 was set for Kacie and $50,000 for Victor.
Perez is in critical condition as of this morning.
