Home invasion suspect caught with cocaine, marijuana & cash

The second suspect in a Mission home invasion faced a judge where he was issued more than $1 million dollars in bonds for several crimes.

Mission police have charged 24-year-old Eleazar Isabel Mazariegos for his role in a July 21st home invasion.

Investigators reported that a woman fought with five armed men who fled the scene with jewelry and other items.

Officers arrested 39-year-old Juan Antonio Gomez late last week.

Investigators spotted Mazariegos in McAllen on Sunday where they took him into custody.

Police reported that Mazariegos had a small amount of cocaine, a baggie of marijuana and $1,280 dollars in cash on him at the time of his arrest.

Officers charged Mazariegos with aggravated robbery, possesion of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Mazariegos appeared before a Mission Municipal Court judge on Tuesday morning where he was issued $1.25 million dollars in bonds.
