A homeowner is facing criminal charges after armed men targeted his San Juan home in search of drugs.

San Juan police arrested 46-year-old Hugo Gerardo Rivas on Thursday night.

Armed men allegedly stormed his home off Oleander and East Owassa Roads.

Gunfire was reported but police said there were no injuries reported in the incident.

The suspects remain at large but police reportedly found Rivas driving away from the scene.

Investigators found a total 55 pounds of marijuana inside his home and inside his car.

Police believe that the gunmen targeted the home in search of drugs.

Investigators charged Rivas with felony possession of marijuana and failure to identify.

Court records show that Rivas had previously served three years probation for possession of a controlled substance.

Rivas faced a San Juan Municipal Court judge on Friday afternoon where he was issued $20,000 in bonds.
