Horse tests positive for West Nile virus in Edinburg

Another case of the West Nile Virus has been confirmed in Edinburg but it does not involve a human victim.

The Texas Department of State Health Services has confirmed a positive case of West Nile Virus in an Edinburg horse.

As soon as the city received confirmation of the case, crews began spraying insecticide to prevent any more mosquitoes from breeding.

The crews are expected to continue spraying the entire city to prevent any more cases.
