IDEA Public Schools receive $15 million grant

On Tuesday, IDEA Public Schools received word from the U.S. Secretary of Education, that they are one of twelve charter management organizations in the nation to receive a $15 million Grant.

This grant would help in the 2012 expansion plan, where they would build 22 schools by 2012.

In each community, there would be 2 schools that would open.

A primary and a secondary school.

The Primary schools would consist of Kindergarten students, first-grade and second-grade students and build a year at a time.

The Secondary schools will consist of six-grade through ninth-grade students.

Idea public schools will open four new schools by 2011 and the rest thereafter.
