Ingrid weakens to a tropical storm as it makes landfall

As Ingrid made landfall near La Pesca Monday morning it weakened to tropical storm.
The center of the storm arrived ashore about 150 miles south of Brownsville at about 7am Monday.
Southern portions of the state of Tamulipas are expected to see as much as 10-15 inches of rain.
The Rio Grande Valley is also expected to see an increase in showers Monday with about 1-2 inches of rain acorss the valley with some areas forecast to receive 2-3 inches.
A coastal flood warning and high surf warning are in effect until 7pm Monday.Showers remain in the forecast for the RGV the rest of the week. Ingrid is expected to weaken to a post-tropical depresion Tuesday. Stick with your 24/7 Weather team for additional information.
