A federal jury is deciding the fate of a oral surgeon from McAllen.
Jurors in the Medicaid fraud trial for oral surgeon Gary Morgan Schwarz started deliberations late Wednesday afternoon.
The jurors are spending Thursday morning weighing the evidence presented to them in almost eight days of testimony.
Schwarz is accused of running a Medicaid fraud and kickbacks scheme.
Testimony started before U.S. District Court Judge Randy Crane on Monday, April 11th and continued through Wednesday afternoon.
Judge Crane dismissed charges against former Texas State Rep. Tara Rios Ybarra and five others leaving Schwarz as the sole defendant.
