A jury has sentenced a man to 45 years in prison for his role in a February 2009 murder in Brownsville.

Randall Bolivar went to trial before visiting Judge Robert Pate in the 107th State District Court earlier this week.

Bolivar was accused in the murder of Aaron Castillo.

The UTB business management junior was found shot to death on Garden Street.

Castillo's brother allegedly owed Bolivar and two other men $500 dollars.

Jurors heard closing arguments on Wednesday afternoon and returned with a guilty verdict.

Bolivar returned to court for sentencing on Thursday morning where jurors handed down a sentence of 45 years in prison.
