Keeping kids healthy with good hygiene

The summer months mean a break for the kids, but not a regular check-up break! It all starts with good dental hygiene! Dr. Susmitha Koti, a dentist with Kool Smiles, says there are several things you can do to ensure a healthy smile for your child. First, be sure to get their regular dental checkup while they have free time. Instead of high sugar drinks like soda, drink water with a twist of orange, lime, or lemon. If you'll be traveling, be sure to pack healthy snacks like hard-boiled eggs, fruit, and vegetables. And of course, be sure to brush regularly, at least twice a day.
