A La Villa street gang leader accused in a sexual abuse investigation is now behind bars in upstate New York.
Lt. Daniel Kafka with La Villa Police Department said U.S. Marshals arrested Jose Rostro in Rochester, NY.
Investigators received a tip about Rostro's whereabouts shortly after Action 4 News aired a story about the investigation.
The tipster gave investigators an address in Rochester where authorities found Rostro hiding out.
U.S. Marshals made the arrest around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
La Villa police have put in an extradition request to get him back in the Rio Grande Valley.
Rostro faces several criminal charges back home.
Police said he allowed his friends to go to his house and sexually abuse three young children.
