There was one notable abscence at the U.S. Congress District 34 political forum on Wednesday evening.
Ten out of the 11 congressional candidates attended the forum at the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen.
The event was originally supposed to have all 11 candidates for the race.
But Cameron County District Attorney Armando Villalobos, who is also a candidate in the race, made a last-minute cancellation.
A spokesman for Villalobos called Action 4 News around 2 p.m. Wednesday to say there had been a "scheduling conflict" and that he would not be able to attend.
Moderators from Action 4 News, KURV 710 AM and the Rio Grande Grande Guardian asked the candidates questions ranging from border security and gay marriage to health care and public corruption.
Action 4 News has posted a video copy of the entire political forum on YouTube.
