Loaves and Fishes of Harlingen serves meals to those in need every day.
But Wednesday afternoon the community took part in a special Thanksgiving feast, turkey and all the trimmings.
"The thing that impresses me the most about what we've been able to do with Loaves and Fishes is our meals are always served to anyone that comes in no questions asked", said Bill Regan Executive Director of Loaves and Fishes.
"It's really a demonstration of love, kindness and support to others in the community", Regan adds.
Volunteers included church members like 13-year-old Adam Hood who spend Wednesday afternoon passing out sodas.
"It's just amazing to see God's amazing purpose in here", said Hood. "Everybody falls and we just all need to get together to help pick some people up", Hood adds.
Loaves and Fishes provides a Safe Haven for many.
Action 4 News spoke to a man who goes by the name Dave.
Dave told us "I've been coming here for years, and it gets better and better", said Dave.
Freddy Garcia who also took part in the meal said, "I'm glad to be enjoying this wonderful food, they prepare for everybody in this place".
About 500 people were served a warm hot meal, a meal they were truly thankful for.
