Authorities are investigating an accident where a mini-van rear ended a Los Fresnos school bus carrying children to their classes.
It all happened at the intersection of Highway 100 and FM 803 just west of Los Fresnos around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Los Fresnos CISD officials reported that Bus #87 was at the stopped at a red light when it was hit from behind.
School district officials confirmed students from Resaca Middle School, Los Cuates Middle School, Los Fresnos United and Los Fresnos High School were all aboard the bus.
Paramedics and school nurses were called to the scene where some students reported back pain but all of them otherwise stayed aboard the bus.
After a 45-minute delay, the bus resumed its route and took the children to their schools.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers are investigating the accident.
