Two Lyford men are behind bars after being accused in a money laundering case involving $70,000 dollars in cash.
Harlingen police arrested 29-year-old Randy Guajardo and 28-year-old Edgar Alberto Barron on Tuesday.
Authorities had been placing a drug trafficking suspect under surveillance in Harlingen when they spotted Guajardo and Barron.
The two men met and then left in separate vehicles.
Police pulled over both of them and allegedly found and seized $70,000 dollars in cash in Barron TMs Ford F-250 pickup truck.
The two Lyford men appeared before a Harlingen municipal judge late Wednesday afternoon.
