A Brownsville man wanted for allegedly raping a 64-year-old woman is arrested.
Brownsville police, with the help of the US Marshal TMs Fugitive Task Force, arrested Angel Dominguez-Ortega.
Detectives had been searching for Ortega since November of last year, when police say he broke down the door of the victim TMs apartment and sexually assaulted her.
Police also say he took $20 dollars that she had, her cell phone and her car.
Two weeks later police found the victim TMs car, a gray 2005 Nissan Sentra, on the 2200 block of East 12th Street.
The car processed for prints and evidence.
During the course of the investigation, detectives named Ortega as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.
Ortega was found Wednesday afternoon at the 200 block of Shary Avenue by the US Marshal TMs and was arrested without incident.
