A man was arrested after he allegedly drove with two children after drinking four beers.
Alan Alberto Zuani Gonzalez was driving five miles per hour over the speed limit, when a Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper pulled him over.
During the routine traffic stop, the trooper allegedly smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Gonzalez.
According to an affidavit obtained by Action 4 News, Gonzalez admitted that he had drank four 24 ounce beers within an hour and a half.
The trooper conducted several standardized field sobriety tests, which Gonzalez allegedly failed.
A 2-year-old and 13-year-old were also in the car with Gonzalez.
Gonzalez breath specimen results were 0.125 above the 0.08 legal limit, according to authorities.
He was booked at the Cameron County Jail on a charge of driving while intoxicated with children under the age of 15.
Gonzalez faces up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine for the state jail felony.
