Man arrested for beating woman after following her home

A man has been arrested in connection to an aggravated assault that sent one beaten woman to the hospital.

Harlingen police confirm German Muniz-Pacheco was arrested this weekend in connection to the aggravated assault.

According to the family the Harlingen woman was beat, bruised and left for dead.

She met the man at a Stripes store, before he followed her home, according to the family.

The alleged beating happened at 4:30 a.m. on Friday, after the woman bought a lotto ticket from Stripes on the 600 block of West Harrison Avenue.

She was beat at her home and transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center for treatment.

She remains in the hospital after suffering multiple facial fracture, broken ribs, and a punctured lung, her family told Action 4 News.

Muniz-Pacheco TMs bond was set at $50,000 for aggravated assault.
