A man is currently behind bars after he sexually assaulted a young girl in her bedroom almost four years ago.
The mother of the victim reportedly told police that the assault happened back in 2010, and wanted to press charges since the victim came just forward in August 2013.
According to documents obtained by Action 4 News, Andrew Fonseca raped the minor as they were in her room one night.
The victim told police that Fonseca touched her inappropriately as she was falling asleep in her bed.
La Feria police said the victim pulled away, wrapping herself with a blanket to stop Fonseca.
Fonseca reportedly continued to assault the victim by contact until she yelled for him to stop.
Documents stated that the suspect then pretended to be asleep.
The victim reportedly left the room to be with her mother that night, but didn't come forward with the allegations until August 2013.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual assault, but documents stated Fonseca did have access to the minor through her family.
Fonseca is currently behind bars on a $50,000 bond.
