He spent more than two years on the run but a man accused of killing a teenage boy at a party is now behind bars.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers arrested 31-year-old Francisco Javier Gonzalez on Monday.

CBP officers reported that Gonzalez walked up from Mexico at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge.

A routine background check revealed that Gonzalez was wanted for a homicide in Hidalgo County.

Gonzalez is a suspect in the death of 16-year-old Jonathan Ramos.

The Hidalgo County teen was killed after being run over by Gonzalez at a party back in June 2011.

Gonzalez remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail.
