A man is accused of having 160.7 pound of marijuana in his toolbox while trying to cross through the checkpoint in Sarita.

Gus Shannon Martin allegedly had eight bundles of marijuana in the back of his truck, and he was arrested in connection to the crime.

The crime happened on June 20, 2014 around 11:45 in the morning.

Border Patrol agents at the checkpoint were conducting inspections when a canine altered them to the drugs.

Agents then found the load when they conducted a secondary inspection on the Dodge truck.

Martin was then transported to Brownsville for a hearing on the case.
