Man caught driving stolen truck to Mexico

A Reynosa man is facing criminal charges in the Rio Grande Valley after he was arrested for allegedly driving a stolen pickup truck into Mexico.

McAllen police charged 21-year-old Ricardo Zavala Miranda on two counts of theft by appropriation on Friday.

Investigators told Action 4 News that Miranda was caught heading into Mexico driving a stolen Dodge pickup truck at the Hidalgo-Reynosa International Bridge.

The truck had been reported as stolen from a home on the 2400 block of West Iris Avenue early Friday morning.

Miranda is also accused participating in the theft of a Dodge Dakota from a home on the 800 block of East Dallas Avenue on Thursday night.

Police are searching for a second suspect only known as "El Cachas" in connection to that case.
