Harlingen police are searching for a man who went on two beer runs Thursday night.
The suspect first stopped at the Stripes Convenience Store on the 2300 block of Tyler Ave.
Police said he walked out of the store without paying for an 18-pack of beer.
At around 10 p.m. the same day, the suspected headed to the Stripes Store on the 1700 block of South F St.
Police said he walked to the back of the store and took two 18-packs of Budweiser valued at $17 each.
He then appeared as he was going to the checkout line, but ran out of the store.
A store employee ran after him and according to police, the suspect tripped and fell down.
He then got up and threw a can of beer at the employee, striking him on the shoulder.
Police believe the man got into a white Honda Civic and fled the scene.
The beer thief is described as being a 5 TM 7 man with black hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
