Man jailed after "magic mushrooms" & other drugs found in home

A man is facing criminal charges after magic mushrooms and several other drugs were found inside a home in the Brownsville Country Club.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers obtained a warrant to search Michael Noe Gracia TMs Varela Court home on Wednesday.

The home is located inside the Brownsville Country Club.

Once inside the home, state troopers allegedly found cocaine, ecstasy tablets, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms in the garage.

Authorities reported seizing 20 grams of cocaine and about 2 ounces of marijuana.

They also found 25 ecstasy tablets and a gram of psilocybin mushrooms.

Psilocybin mushrooms are abused for their hallucinogenic properties and known as "shrooms" or "magic mushrooms" on the streets.

Gracia faced possession of marijuana and three counts of possession of a controlled substance charges.

State troopers took Gracia to the Cameron County Jail where he was issued $55,000 in bonds.
