A Harlingen man was arrested after accusations that he forced a child to put her hands down his pants.
Manuel Gomez Diaz was arrested at his home on the 4400 block of Washmon Avenue in Harlingen.
Gomez allegedly touched a girl inappropriately and licked the inside of her ear after he lured her away to a back room at a party.
When her mother attempted to find the girl, she was nowhere to be found, according to authorities.
According to documents obtained by Action 4 News, the child confessed to her mother that Diaz forced her to put her hands down his pants.
The man grabbed her buttocks and pulled down her shirt, according to the documents.
After looking inside the house, her mother found the girl after the she came out of a back room.
Action 4 News does not identify victims of sexual abuse, but court documents show the child was with her mother at the party.
The Cameron County Sheriff TMs Department went to the residence to question Diaz, and he allegedly gave them a false name.
Diaz was arrested on Sunday at around 1:45 a.m. on counts of indecency with a child sexual contact and failure to identify.
Indecency with a child sexual contact is a second degree felony.
Diaz TMs bond was set at $105,000.
