An Edinburg man is behind bars after being accused of beating one ex-girlfriend and raping another one.
Hidalgo County Sheriff TMs Office deputies arrested 25-year-old Abraham Solis Wednesday afternoon following a brief chase.
According to investigators, they arrived at a home at the 4500 block of Calle De Los Aguacates in rural Edinburg.
The deputies were attempting to arrest Solis on charges of sexual assault, assault and burglary of habitation from two separate incidents.
Solis was caught after a chase where he was found hiding in a Porta Potty and remains in custody at the Hidalgo County Jail under $450,000 in bonds.
The first incident took place in July. Hidalgo County investigators say they were called out to a home off Mile 19 North and Alamo Road for a report of an assault.
There, the victim told them that Solis had gone into her home and threatened to hurt her if she didn TMt go with him.
Once in the car with Solis, the victim told investigators Solis began to slap her on the face, hands and rib cage area.
At one point, she managed to get out of the car and start running, however Solis was able to catch up with her.
According to court documents, Solis proceeded to kick and punch her body causing pain.
Investigators noted the victim had bruises to her left arm, left shoulder, hip area, and forehead.
The victim also had some bite marks on the right hand and arm.
The second alleged incident took place around August 12th.
Investigators were called out to the 900 block of Starshine in Edinburg.
According to the victim, her ex-boyfriend, identified as Abraham Solis, showed up at her apartment uninvited.
She asked him to leave but he refused, instead he allegedly forced his way through the front door.
Court documents state that once inside Solis sexually assaulted her and told her it was not the last of it.
The victim also told deputies that Solis had raped her when she was 13 years old and had been sent to prison for it.
Investigators say they questioned Solis about the crime, where he confessed to having sexual intercourse with the victim.
