Man pulled from water off SPI

A man was pulled from the water off South Padre Island on the 4th of July.

U.S. Coast Guard officials could not confirm if the incident was the result of a drowning.

Coast Guard spokesperson Lt. Parris told Action 4 News the individual was a 25-year-old African-American man.

Crews searched the Gulf of Mexico near Clayton TMs Beach Bar and Grill by boat and helicopter to locate him.

As of Thursday night, the Coast Guard could not confirm his condition.
