A Harlingen man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted a woman who told police about his 8-liner establishment.
Enrique Moya was arrested in June after he allegedly ran a gambling establishment out of his home.
Now, the 38-year-old is behind bars for breaking into the home of the woman who gave police the tip, according to Harlingen police.
He allegedly broke into her home by forcing the door open.
That is when she locked herself in the bedroom, but Moya was able to kick open the door, according to the police report.
He allegedly grabbed the victim TMs hair, pulled her to the ground and elbowed her in the face.
When she attempted to dial 9-1-1, he took her cell phone away, authorities said.
She locked herself in the bathroom along with her 2-year-old.
Harlingen Police officers arrested Moya on burglary of a habitation, retaliation, and interference with an emergency phone call.
Both the burglary of habitation and retaliation are felony charges.
His bond was set at $1.5 million for the three counts.
