A man is currently behind bars after he allegedly robbed two Stripes convenience stores in just an hour.

The first incident happened at the Stripes on Raul Longoria Road and 107 in Edinburg around 4 a.m. Friday.

Authorities said Leeroy Serna demanded cash from the register with a gun.

The 26-year-old fled the scene before police arrived.

Just an hour later, Edinburg police responded to another call on a robbery in progress at another Stripes convenience store.

Police arrived at the store on Raul Longoria Road and Wisconsin Road after Serna fled from the scene.
