A Sebastian man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after he plead guilty to stabbing his daughter and common-law-wife.

The Willacy County District Attorney TMs Office said Adam Lee Gritzner was sentenced to 10 years in prison for three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident happened back in September of 2013 at the Labor Camp Apartments.

Willacy County Deputies said 37-year-old Gritzner slashed his common-law wife TMs tires on her vehicle.

Gritzner reportedly turned the knife on the victim, their daughter and the daughter TMs boyfriend as they approached him.

Deputies said Gritzner then stabbed his common-law wife and daughter, and fled the scene before they arrived.

Both women were taken to a local hospital for their stab wounds.

During the three day trial, Gritzner TMs father said he picked up the 37-year-old the same day of the stabbing at a fruit stand and took him to Harlingen.

A week after the incident, Gritzner turned himself in to the Willacy County Sheriff TMs Office.

Gritzner is set to serve 10 years in prison for the stabbings.
