Mission Police said a man in his twenties is recovering today after he was shot Friday night, near the ribcage. Sgt. Jody Tittle tells Action 4 News the shooting happened at about 11 p.m. on the 600 block of east 8th Street near Adams Street.
Tittle said the victim was walking home from a friend TMs house, when an unidentified middle-aged man pulled-up in a car and shot him a short range.The victim was rushed to the hospital and is said to be in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.Tittle said the police department spend several hours searching for casings at the scene, but none were recovered. However, he said, a small caliber handgun was used in the shooting.
