A man is recovering after he was stuck in water as a kayak he was in overturned in a reservoir.
The incident happened around11:30 Saturday morning.
The Edinburg Fire Department told Action 4 News that the man was with three other people on the reservoir on M Road between University Drive and Schunior Street when the kayak overturned.
Officials said three people from the group swam to the shore of the reservoir after the kayak flipped over.
The Alamo Fire department, Mission Dive Team and a helicopter were called to the scene for assistance.
Firefighters rescued the man using a floatation device after he was holding on to the kayak for 20 minutes.
EMS rushed the man to a local hospital to treat him for exhaustion.
The man TMs current condition is not known at this time.
