Man threatening to jump from roof of building in Brownsville

      Brownsville firefighters and police rescued man who threatened to jump from a building

      Authorities rescued a man after he threatened to jump from the roof of building .

      It all happened at a medical office off U.S. Expressway 77/83 and East Alton Gloor Boulevard just after 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

      Brownsville police and firefighters were both called to the scene.

      Investigators told Action 4 News that the man was admitted to the Valley Regional Medical Center for a mental evalution but left the hospital.

      The man climbed to the roof of a building next to the hospital where he threatened to jump and end his life.

      Brownsville firefighters successfully brought the man down without incident around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

      Police said the man will be re-evaluated for his mental state.
