McAllen man dies weeks after getting hit in DWI wreck

Family of Louise Antonio Arguello said he was hit by a drunk driver on his way home from work on June 10th.

In the last few weeks, his family and friends have stood by his side praying that he would pull through.

Over the weekend, those who loved Arguello the most gathered at the Chili's on Shary Road and spent all day washing cars to help his family pay medical expenses.

Organizers told Action 4 News that they raised over $2,700 dollars.

Unfortunately, friends tell us that Arguello TMs family made the devastating decision to pull him off of life support around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The McAllen man died at 3:30 p.m. Monday.

Arguello was set to get married next month and was described by friends as a happy, fun-loving guy who loved to bring a smile to people's faces.

They said it was the senseless act of one person and their choice to drink and drive that has now taken their friend away from them.

They said he'll be greatly missed.

All of the money collected over the weekend will now go to planning louise's funeral.

A suspect has been identified in the DWI wreck that claimed Arguello TMs life.

Authorities have not yet filed charge against the driver.
