McAllen man hospitalized after arm got stuck inside conveyor belt

Paramedics rushed a Hidalgo County man to a local hospital after his arm got stuck inside a conveyor belt.

It all happened at the United Parcel Service (UPS) facility at 1201 E. Upas Avenue in McAllen early Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the man was fixing the conveyor belt when his arm got stuck.

McAllen Fire Department officials reported that his arm was stuck for at least 20 minutes.

The man's condition is not known at this time.

UPS officials said they are working to get more information about the accident.

They said the man was a contractor and a not a UPS employee.
