Authorities have broken up a burglary ring that targeted the gargades of several north McAllen homes.
McAllen police told Action 4 News that they arrested three McAllen men on Tusday for a string of burglaries throughout the month of August.
Police identified the suspects as:
- Benigno Ramirez, 18
- Arthur Williams Adams, 20
- David Alejandro Duran, 18
The three McAllen men are suspected of stealing lawn equipment, golf clubs, gasoline cans and other items from several north McAllen homes.
Investigators said the men entered the open garages of the homes to steal the items.
The three appeared before McAllen Municipal Court Judge Carlos Ochoa where they each received $125,000 bonds.
Investigators said the men admitted to their crime spree and even took detectives to the homes they had stolen from.
Police told Action 4 News that they wanted to remind residents to close the garage doors when not in use.
Residents are also advised to take precaution by locking the doors and windows of their homes.
Homes equipped with an alarm should be armed in its appropriate mode.
