A McAllen teenager is facing criminal charges after hitting a pedestrian with his car and fleeing the scene.
McAllen police arrested 18-year-old Armando Isaias Flores over the weekend.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Flores was behind the wheel of a car that hit a pedestrian off South 23rd Street and the frontage road of Expressway 83 around 7 p.m. Friday.
Flores allegedly fled from the scene leaving the pedestrian with a broken leg and head injuries.
Officers found Flores and arrested him on accident involving injury and tampering with evidence charges.
Flores appeared before a McAllen Municipal Court judge on Monday morning where he was issued $85,000 in bonds.
