A McAllen woman is behind bars after an injury to a child case involving two children where one of them had to be hospitalized.
McAllen police arrested 42-year-old Blanca Estela Gonzalez on two counts of injury to a child.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Gonzalez was acting as a caregiver for two children under 10 years old on Tuesday.
Details were not available but police said the two children were injured under her care.
Investigators said one of the children had to be hospitalized due to the incident.
One of the charges was upgraded to a first-degree felony while the other is a third-degree felony.
Gonzalez appeared before a McAllen municipal court judge on Wednesday where she was issued $500,000 dollars in bonds.
Police said Child Protective Services has been notified about the incident.
