Mega Millions ticket worth $3 million sold in Brownsville
Someone bought a Mega Millions ticket worth $3 million in Brownsville, according to the Texas Lottery Commission.
The Lottery Commission announced the news Wednesday morning on Twitter.
A lucky player purchased the winning ticket at Stripes #5123 at 4100 Coffee Port Road in Brownsville. The player selected the "quick pick" option.
To win $3 million, a player must correctly guess — or the computer must randomly select — all five numbers and purchase the "Megaplier" option, according to the Lottery Commission website.
The winning numbers Tuesday were 27-51-62-68-75, according to the Mega Millions website. The Mega Ball number was eight.
Nobody won the jackpot.
The estimated prize for Friday night's drawing is $113 million.
