Mercedes teen "ordering hit" on ex-boyfriend ends with two arrests
It was an act of revenge that ended with two arrests.
Mercedes police arrested Marco Pavon and Linda Gonzalez for their roles in a revenge plot.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Gonzalez "ordered a hit" on her ex-boyfriend.
Gonzalez allegedly went to Pavon, who was also an ex-boyfriend, to do the job.
Pavon and his friends approached Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend on Saturday.
Both Pavon and Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend fought.
Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend allegedly pulled out a knife and ended up with his hands cut during the struggle.
Pavon told Action 4 News at his Tuesday afternoon arraignment that he did it because Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend hit her and left bruises.
Mercedes police said Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend was released form the hospital but a video of the fight was posted to Facebook.
In the video, Gonzalez's ex-boyfriend is heard saying, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry.. I'm sorry I hit her."
Charged with aggravated assault, Pavon remains in custody under a $500,000 bond.
Gonzalez, an honor student at the Early College High School in Mercedes, remains in custody under a $250,000 bond for criminal solicitation.
