Mexican woman charged in fatal McAllen DWI wreck

A Mexican woman is behind bars in the Rio Grande Valley after being accused of killing two women in a DWI accident in McAllen.

McAllen police arrested 22-year-old Aidee Paola De La Torre early Saturday morning.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the fatal accident happened off North 10th Street and Pecan Avenue around 2:45 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas woman was drunk and behind the wheel of car causing a two-car accident.

Both 45-year-old Lilimae Bravo Arevalo and 48-year-old Dora Elia Ortiz were killed in the accident while two others were injured.

Officers charged De La Torre with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault.

De La Torre appeared before a McAllen Municipal Court judge where she was issued $700,000 dollars in bonds.
