Mission doctor charged with sexual assault—again
A Mission doctor was charged with sexual assault on Thursday.
Humberto Rafael Bruschetta, 57, was charged nearly two weeks ago in a separate case after patients accused him of sexual assault and indecent exposure.
On May 3, the Mission Police Department met with another alleged victim who claimed Bruschetta touched her inappropriately during an exam on or about the months of October or November 2016, according to a criminal complaint.
The alleged victim told police during the exam, Bruschetta told her to lie down, unbuckled her pants and lowered them below her hips, then proceeded to touch her inappropriately without latex gloves, according to the criminal complaint.
Bruschetta was arrested at his residence in Kingsville on Thursday, according to the Mission Police Department.
Bruschetta was charged with sexual assault, a second-degree felony.
Judge Jonathan Wehrmeister set bond at $100,000.
Bruschetta was released from the Hidalgo County jail on Friday.
