Mission police arrested one of their own after he allegedly asked two women to undress themselves after they were taken into custody.
According to police, Mission Police Detention Officer Roberto Perez asked two detainees to take off their clothes in front of him.
The first incident happened Sept. 13 when the victim was jailed for theft.
Mission police told Action 4 News Perez approached the woman during confinement.
The victim told Perez that she was hungry.
According to authorities, Perez allegedly said he would give her food if she showed him her breasts.
The victim said no.
Police said Perez allegedly asked the second victim to undress during the booking process after she was arrested for public intoxication.
The victim agreed to Perez TMs request.
Chief of Police Robert Dominguez suspended Perez Sept. 16.
Perez resigned from the department the day after the suspension and was transported to Hidalgo County jail after his arrest.
A total bond of $10,000 was set for the former detention officer.
