Mission police search for murder weapon in retired agent's death

Mission police are spending Tuesday morning looking for murder weapon used to beat an 86-year-old retired Border Patrol agent to death.

A search is in progress at a canal near the 2 Mile Line home of Willis Kimmons.

Mission police have charged David Tarbutton, Leroy Arista and Peggy Arista for their roles in the death of the retired Border Patrol agent.

Kimmons was killed inside home back on the evening of Tuesday, July 12th.

Investigators believe Kimmons was beaten to death and that robbery was a motive.

Authorities spent the day looking for a crowbar in a canal but had not located it as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.
