Authorities are searching a home in Mission in connection to an investigation to the murder of a 23-year-old woman.
Mission police recovered the body of Christine Kalifa off Moorefield and Roman Roads around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Investigators searched a home on the 2100 block of Clavele Street in connection to Kalifa's death on Thursday morning
Chief Martin Garza said officers found a .357 revolver, the weapon they believe was used to shoot and kill her.
The home is located half a block away from where police found the Kalifa's body with a gunshot to the back of the head.
Chief Garza said officers have two men in custody in connection to the murder.
Police arrested them both Wednesday following a home invasion at East 1st Street in Mission.
Garza added that both men knew the murder victim but so far, police are only charging one of them with her murder.
The second person is a person of interest, Garza said, but the weapon was found at his home.
Both the murder and home invasion suspect are expected to be arraigned on Friday.
