With Cinco de Mayo fast approaching, the Mission Chamber of Commerce is busy planning their staycation day that will honor traditional Hispanic heritage. Yuriko Ramirez joined Action 4 Sunrise to explain more about Mission Staycation Day. This event is happening on Saturday, May 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Chamber in downtown Mission.
This May's Market will feature around 20 local produce, food and artisan vendors. The tradition will include traditional Mexican Cuisine from one of our local vendors. Origionally from Mexico City, Maricarmen Chavez, brings the traditional Mexican "Tlacoyos" to the Rio Grande Valley!
Also, part of the celebration will include a folkloric dance performance by Sharyland High School TMs Grupo Folklorico Cascabel. To learn more about Mission Staycation Day or for more information about becoming a vendor, contact the GMCC at 956-585-2727 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
