More rain forecasted for RGV

Some areas of the Rio Grande Valley saw more than two inches of rain Saturday as thunderstorms rolled across the sky.

Plentiful tropical moisture in the western Gulf of Mexico provided the energy needed to spark the late morning showers.

Any remaining rain showers are expected to dissapate by sunset but the chance for showers will remain in the forecast most of next week.

Sunday is not expected to be quite as wet as Saturday but some isolated to scattered showers in the late morning to early afternoon hours are expected once again.

Monday looks like the driest day of the week, while Thursday appears to be the best chance for significant rainfall.
