"No validity" to school shooting rumors at Donna High School, district police say

Donna Independent School District police say there is "no validity" to rumors about a school shooting at Donna High School Thursday morning.
In a statement, the district's spokesperson says no shots were fired Thursday, despite rumors circulating about a shooting on campus.
According to the statement:
Campus administrators are also informing parents through various forms of communication that there is no threat to student’s safety. Classes will follow normal schedule.
Police continue to patrol the campus as the case remains under investigation.
