Officer To Shoplifting Suspect: "Where's the beef?"

A man accused of stealing beef from a San Benito supermarket is now facing a laundry list of criminal charges after running from police.
San Benito police arrested 21-year-old David Anthony Torres on Sunday afternoon.
Torres allegedly stole a package of beef from the HEB supermarket but was spotted off Stenger and Hull Streets.
The officer reported that Torres was banging on the door of the home and holding his groin."
Torres allegedly dropped the stolen package of beef and ran into a field where he surrendered after a foot chase.
Officers charged Torres with theft and evading arrest.
Investigators said the theft charge was upgraded to a state jail felony because Torres had two prior convictions for theft.
Torres appeared before a San Benito Municipal Court judge where he was issued $50,000 dollars in bonds.
