Officials crack down on drunk driving

Thousands of State Troopers, police officers and sheriff deputies across the state will be out in full force as part of the drink, drive, go to jail campaign that runs through Labor Day.

In 2010 alone, there were over 25,000 alcohol related crashes in Texas.

State officials want to remind drivers that there is no excuse for drinking and driving.

Officers across the state will work overtime through Labor Day to keep impaired drivers off the street.

Their message to drivers this holiday: "There's no excuse for drinking and driving.
